my mind is a big hunk of irrevocable nothing which touch and taste and smell (e.e.cummings)

Thank you for all your kind words about my dadski...He is still mestzo mezto (spelling?) and he has been using his walker (YAY Dad!!). He says he is good, so I have to be okay with that. Still want to be there and be able to help more. My sister Jan is there with him and Wanda now. I wish she would come to SF to see us...Maybe we will have to do a Colorado trip again soon...
Also, everone is fine from the earthquake...well, aside from the shock of it all. NO pun intended.
Did I mention Clinton got us balloons?

Oscar had a blast! But no balloon blast...I put a stop to the chomping of balloons...Moms are like that? oh...we are! hee hee
Tried to make it to the Half Moon Bay Pumkin Festival...But they changed the rules on us this year. No Dogs Allowed. Unless they are small enough to stuff in your shirt and take out once you get passed all the sheriffs. I need to make Aussie a Delta dog so I can take her to all these places and get her to entertain immobile people...since she will bring you the toy as along as you throw it to her....1000 times...
So instead of doing the Festival...grumble grumble.....we bought enough fish:
ONE:

TWO:

THREE kinds o' Fishy Fishy Fish:

to pretend we are fisherman, saw the 1280 pound pumpkin, ate some malasadas and came home.
Forgot the digicam, so you gotta wait for pics of those events...

But in the interim, here is my beautifully messed upscarf.

I have frogged and not frogged enough, so I am leaving the cantankerous 90 degree angle and knitting on.
Really. Cause if I am gonna let a natural beautiful mistake ruin my day, where will I be once I have carved the pumpkins?
They are also fixin' up the Kansas Dustbowl next door!

Maybe they will throw down grass soon!

Or pass us half of the trees they got planted in their yard!
Um..The BBQ should be on for this weekend...I think we are gonna have to name this BBQ Club and make us some shirts!

We have the salmon and yummy tamale(veggie style) down....Y'all gonna hafta bring some yum desserts again!

Now doesn't that just sound like fun? I'd like to do that festival sometime...but couldn't do it this year. The bbq sounds great....except for the part where people eat fish...fishy fishy fish. uggggh.

BBQ club mm sounds different. It has sorta been barbieweather but then it has snapped back to cold again. Good weather for knitting.

Glad you Dad is slowly getting there but it takes time.

Yummo Fish but then again I might have to go to the nice fish and chips cafe on Saturday .

thanks for your advice bunny...
it's a tough pattern to bind off in ... have you ever knitted that pattern? I love it, but I'm just not sure how to swing the bind off... Think I'll take it to my friend at the LYS and have her show me, she's done it...I think.

I love the scarf! I am with you on the natural beauty of mistakes, plus, once it wraps who is going to know?
